Selecting Time Ranges in Leemba
2/11/2011One of the great things about using Leemba is that you can set custom time ranges for graphs. This often comes in handy when researching past problems, or drilling down to details to see the exact results of a performance tune.
Firstly, there's a bar at the top of the page. This slider contains a date range. After moving either start or end slider, all of the plots on the page will update.
There are also a couple of handy presets on the left-hand menu:
And finally, it's possible to select areas of the plot directly. After releasing the mouse, the plot will redraw to the selected time period. It also has bookmark support, so simply hitting the back button will take you to the last period.
This is an example of a test that uses Tomcat's JMX Proxy Servlet (which is more convenient to use through firewalls than JMX):
